Resort: The stunning Belle Époque town of Bad Gastein lies within the Salzburg province of Austria and is an excellent year round resort offering over skiing, natural thermal spas, an 18-hole golf course and horse riding. Bad Gastein is only 70mins drive from Salzburg Airport and is also easily accessible by regular direct trains from Salzburg or Munich.
Winter: With 200km of pistes the Gastein valley offers a vast skiing area. The majority of runs favour the intermediate skier but there are still plenty of runs to challenge skiers of other abilities, this family friendly resort has plenty of ski schools and is a great all rounder. There are plenty winter activities including tobogganing, ice skating and sleigh riding. Bad Gastein’s superb ski conditions made it the choice venue for the 2009 Red Bull Playstreets Championship.
Summer: The Gastein Valley has plenty to offer the summer visitor. Besides all the spa facilities there is a challenging 18-hole golf course, tennis and paragliding on offer. Explore the exceptionally beautiful Hohe Tauern National Park which offers great cycling and numerous hiking and walking routes!
